Modern PocketPCs have their own internal space, but like all memory that too eventually gets full. MemMaid helps to clean up the memory on your device, and the result is that many megabytes that were previously blocked allow themselves once more to be accessed and used for other more useful things.
The Byte Monster lurks behind every corner waiting to devour your useful space. Whoever uses their PocketPC generates a lot of superfluous data very quickly, and that data uses up valuable disk space. Not only temporary data, but also cache data and Internet links. A large portion of this data can be indiscriminately deleted in order to clean up the device and make more room.
That's exactly what MemMaid does. The tool lists all kinds of variants of garbage data and then cleans it up. A tabulated overview allows specific file formats, etc., to be shown on the list of possible unneeded data. Besides diverse temporary and cache folders, MemMaid offers the ability to delete quicklaunch icons that point to nothing, invalid registry items, and even defective deinstallation programs. It's even possible to delete email attachments.
MemMaid even automatically empties up to two folders at the launch of the program. Whoever gets used to downloading temporary data into these folders will soon thereafter be able to forget about clean-up headaches. 'Custom Extensions' allows particular file formats to add certain file formats to the index, allowing particulary large .zip archives, for example, to be deleted.
A primary scan indicates the current status of the PocketPC, the amount of space, its location to be freed by the deletion process, and then with a click of the stylus on 'clean' the digital corpses of mouldy data are neatly cleaned up. R.I.P.!
The tool does all this and more. It's also capable of freeing up additional space with the help of another memory-tweak: it also cleans up unwanted tasks that are launched on startup. If you're annoyed by the autostart of a certain application, you can easily deal with the automatisation by locating it with MemMaid. Voila! Autostarts are no longer a problem. If a program persists , then MemMaid locates it in the startup process and kicks it out. Of course, pay close attention to what you decide not to load up, since deactivating the wrong thing can possibly lead to a crash...
